Our History

Penticton Treasure Hunters Club Newsletter Volume No. 1 (Whole)
March 5, 1984 to March 5, 1985

Greetings:
The aspirations of several local treasure hunters were realized on March 5, 1984 when a treasure hunter’s club was formed here in Penticton. This mostly came about through the diligent efforts of Marion Saunders who, along with Roland Larose and Lionel Choiselat, felt the overwhelming need to have a locally-based club. I am told that while coinshooting local beaches, they would sometimes meet and discuss this need. Obviously, they were in accord because a notice was placed in the Penticton Herald inviting interested parties to join together for a meeting. From these humble beginnings the Penticton Treasure Hunter’s Club finally became a reality.
